Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the website at loverboystill.com, the digital and audio editions of the book Loverboy, Still, the “Talk to Nia” AI companion, the Reader Q&A assistant, the Newsletter, the Mission campaign page, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by Joseph Green (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

All text, audio narration, cover art, and creative work associated with Loverboy, Still are the intellectual property of Joseph Green and his licensors. Purchases grant you a personal, non-transferable license to read or listen for your own enjoyment. You may not redistribute, resell, mirror, transcribe, or feed any portion of the work into machine-learning systems without prior written permission.

Some content (e.g. the audiobook, digital book downloads) is gated behind one-time access codes or per-order URLs. Keep these private. You are responsible for activity that occurs through codes or links tied to your purchase. We may revoke access for codes that are shared publicly or used to circumvent payment.

Contributions made through the Mission campaign page are voluntary support contributions intended to assist with the creative development, production, marketing, and expansion of the project. Contributions are not investments and do not provide equity, ownership interest, profit participation, financial returns, securities, or shareholder rights of any kind. Funds may be allocated toward production, distribution, marketing, technology, creative services, operational expenses, and future development related to Loverboy, Still and associated media. Contributions are non-refundable except where required by law.

The “Talk to Nia” companion, the Reader Q&A widget, and other AI-powered features generate responses using large language models. Output may be imperfect, occasionally incorrect, or not reflect the views of Joseph Green. AI conversations are for entertainment, reading companionship, and customer support. They are not professional, medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice. Do not rely on AI responses for decisions that require qualified human expertise.

By providing your email at checkout, on the newsletter signup, or via the contribution form, you consent to receive transactional messages (receipts, access links, order updates) and occasional project-related messages from us. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at Loverboygreg33@gmail.com.

You agree not to: (a) scrape, mirror, or reverse-engineer any portion of the Services; (b) attempt unauthorized access to administrative endpoints; (c) submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringing; (d) use the Services to harass other users or our staff; (e) abuse the AI features to extract the book text or generate derivative commercial works.

We rely on third-party providers including Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email), ElevenLabs (audio narration), Anthropic / OpenAI / Google (via the Emergent platform, for AI generation), and MongoDB Atlas (data hosting). Your use of the Services may be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages or independent actions.

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joseph Green is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notice on the Services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.
